I/O Error for WII disc

Ive been trying to backup my WII game and on my laptop, I figured out that my dvd burner wouldnt recognize the disc. So today I went out and bought an external LG dvd/rw burner like webpages recommended. I then retried imgburn and it actually got to the ready part which it previously never did...so it recognized it was in there at least. Then I go to "read" it and I get and I/O error. Not sure if its still my drive (wrong LG), my settings (have the defaults), or maybe Im just dumb : ) Either way Id appreciate any help. Ive attached the error log to my post. TIA.imgerror.doc
