I/O Error burning ISO to Dual Layer DVD

Hi,

 

When trying to burn an ISO to a dual layer DVD (Verbatim DVD+R DL 8x), I got the following I/O error straight away (see below, screenshot attached). Is it possible I have a damaged disc drive?
