Device Not Ready (Unknown (0x09, 0x90))

Everytime i try to burn any file (xbox 360) this message pops up =[ What should i do and i am using the .dvd like u are supposed to and the layerbreak. =] thanks SOOO much for any help!!!!

Use the latest version 2.5.0.0.

 

I don't see any odd thing in that log. What's the message that pops up?

 

The title is the message that pops up. =] the device is not ready....

i'll download the new one though.

Yeah i just downloaded the new version and now the error message that pops up is....

Sounds like your burner doesn't like the media you're using. Put a burned disc in the drive and copy and paste here all the media information text that ImgBurn shows in its main window.

What type of burned disc do u want me to put in it?? i have a burnt dvd from my other computer (4.6 gigs) and i have a music cd?... thx =]

Try this firmware update for your burner to see if it works. The problem seems to be that the media you're using is too new for your burner (notice that the firmware update is almost 5 years old). Use SIW to check if your laptop has USB 2.0 support, and if it does, you could get an external non-slim burner for it.

 

Alternatively, you could try finding Taiyo Yuden 8x (TYG02 dye) DVD-R blanks that it probably does support.

Ok i tried that and now it says Device Not Read (ID CRC or ECC error)... How do i use SIW? Sorry I'm a noob lolz and if i buy an external harddrive will it definitely work?? What type would i buy? and i dont think those discs would do seeing as how they r not DL =[... thx soo much for your time and advice =]
