mmalves Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Sounds like your burner doesn't like the media you're using. Put a burned disc in the drive and copy and paste here all the media information text that ImgBurn shows in its main window.

mmalves Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 MATSHITA UJ-810 C102 (ATA) Try this firmware update for your burner to see if it works. The problem seems to be that the media you're using is too new for your burner (notice that the firmware update is almost 5 years old). Use SIW to check if your laptop has USB 2.0 support, and if it does, you could get an external non-slim burner for it. Alternatively, you could try finding Taiyo Yuden 8x (TYG02 dye) DVD-R blanks that it probably does support.

Sorry I'm a noob lolz and if i buy an external harddrive will it definitely work?? What type would i buy? and i dont think those discs would do seeing as how they r not DL =[... thx soo much for your time and advice =]
mmalves Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 You can get SIW here and it shows your system's USB capabilities in Hardware -> Ports -> USB (you need USB 2.0 support in order to be able to burn DVDs with an external burner).
