ohillary Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I have a large number of photos (100+ gbs) that I would like to back up on dvd's. I just want to automate the process so I don't have to figure out file size for each dvd. The queue procedure seems to be the solution, however, do I really have to drag all these files to the queue? I would like to burn them from the hard drive that they are on and not have to copy them over to the queue folder. thanks, o Log: I 09:36:43 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! mmalves Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The Queue feature is designed to burn disc images, so it wouldn't work for your needs. I'd do it this way: use advanced input build mode to add your files/folders until you reach the size of a DVD-R/DVD+R disc, then burn the disc right away or save the build project (for burning later), then repeat the process for the remaining files until you've burned all of them. It'll be some 20+ single layer DVDs, so use high quality media such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks and leave the Verify option enabled, or your backup will be as good as nothing.
ohillary Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 So I can't have img burn just burn away until all files are done? I don't want to monitor it, that's what computers are for!! thanks, o
mmalves Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 You'd be better off using proper backup software then.
