Greetz,

Just burnt a DVD+R DL from a folder containing an empty AUDIO_TS folder, a VIDEO_TS folder with stuff inside it, and some extra stuff besided these two folders, with ImgBurn 2.5.1.0

Everything went smoothly, including verification, but the root of the newly burnt disc appears empty in Windows Explorer. The label is read correctly, the total size is shown correctly, but there appear to be no files whatsoever.

Tried a DVD player - no luck.

Interestingly, IsoBuster can read and extract the entire directory structure quite easily, which leads to a suggestion that maybe the DVD file systems (ISO9660 + UDF 1.02) were created incorrectly, and IsoBuster is simply more tolerant than Windows Explorer and my DVD player.

Any suggestions?

Take the disc out, restart windows and put it in again.

Tried that a few times on different PCs.

Do you have any standalone players you can try it on? If so, do they play it?

My player recognised the disc as DVD-Video, but didn't play it - I assume that it too couldn't read the directory structure properly.

I would be less puzzled if IsoBuster didn't read the directory and extract files like a charm - but it does!

You could also try opening the disc with things like WinRAR, 7-Zip etc.

Did you make an image first or burn directly to disc?

If you made an image (or can just use Read mode on that disc and make a new one), save the first 5mb of the file and send it to support (address is in the About box).

Well maybe your DVD PLayer didnt like the --> "some extra stuff"

to be burned along with the VIDEO_TS folder,,,,,

Can you try to Burn ONLY the VIDEO_TSfolder?

Update: burnt another copy of the same set of files, this time everything worked out. So now I'm inclined to blame crappy media.

Anyway, thanks for support!
