All the topics I've been reading about the DirectShow filters r from 2007, 2008?

Is there still no solution to this problem?

Been using ImgBurn 4 quite a while now & never experienced problems before with burning my .wav & .flac files?

Now the .wav burn stops after 20% of the disc & the flac files give me all kinds of errors, the ConnectFilters error but also some mfplat.dll errors.

I have Win 7 Ultimate, 64 bits...

There is no ongoing problem with this, DirectShow problems are not ImgBurn problems.

If you want support, post the log / screenshots etc so we can see what's what - otherwise it's impossible.

Tried that this afternoon, before posting. Got error msgs (regarding registering .dll or .ocx? in Win 7 64).

Now I c it's placed in C:\ Program Files\ImgBurn\MadFlac, tried the install again (not as an administrator...) & it got installed! :)

Will do a test again now! :)

Ok, that seems to have fixed the DirectShow error.

Now you have an actual burning issue...

W 16:36:36 Failed to Write Sectors 31894 - 31920 - Reason: Write Error

You could try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc and maybe attempt an 8x burn.

Other than that though, buy some better CD-R's! If your drive keeps erroring out during the burn, obviously it has a problem with them.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with anything other than Taiyo Yuden CDs.

Think that's not the problem Lightning! Just burned a DVD on the same drive, NP...

Just burned 2 cd's (same brand (Nashuatec)) with only 1 song on it with Express Burn, no problem...

The drive is working 200% alright, the same disc with another program does work alright...

The DVD part of ImgBurn does work alright...

& It used 2 work fine on this machine, these discs, this drive, never needed MadFlac before on this machine, meaby something wrong with ImgBurn 2.5.x.x???

Well it's your drive that's reporting the error, you can either take my word for it or not.

Maybe you haven't needed madFlac before because some other codec (which you've since removed) could handle the conversion or you just haven't burnt with ImgBurn/Flac files before on it. Either way, you needed to install a filter for the job and now you've done that you can forget about it. (You should have registered it in the system32 folder though as it's a system wide thing and not just for ImgBurn)

DirectShow/Flac/madFlac is not the issue in your most recent log, it's with the drive writing to the disc.

Actually, in 64-bit Windows, I believe files that would normally go into the system32 folder now belong in the SysWOW64 folder. I know I've had to copy and register .dll files there when an installer fails (such as Flac Frontend).
