W 18:18:09 Failed to Write Sectors 286208 - 286239 - Reason: No Additional Sense Information

That looks like a driver issue to me.

The bit in bold is not an error you should be getting... the real one is probably getting lost somewhere.

What chipset does your motherboard use?

What do you have in your filter drivers list? (look in the tools menu, copy to clipboard and paste for us to look at)

Install the chipset driver from this page. By the way, the driver version is the same across all board revisions.

Ok seem to have sorted it but I tried quite a bit before it worked (did not do it in stages)

I removed clonecd and img burn

Then i see I had another drive, which i don't but turned out to be related to deamon tools so removed that aswell

Used driver detective to check all drivers which were up to scratch, but when i clicked on pioneer it seem to have underlining issue's and when I clicked on the help links, was suggesting drive letter assigning might be a problem. SO checked the regedit keys and could see no porblems with drive letters and/or upper/lower filter drivers (or similar) mention associated with the dvd drive (guides said delete these and reboot)

I did reassign dvd drive from 'd' to 'b' (but dont think this played a part)

the only other thing i done was reinstalled the drivers from gigabyte for ati catalyst

I have now burnt 1 of the 2 problem discs (2nd one looks80% complete at mo) so looks good. I think the problem was/is cdclone or demontools lite driver and probably more so the latter in creating a false drive assignment. I can recall years back someone else saying that clonecd and imgburn drivers dont get on well.

Thanks for your help anyhow, hopefully this may help someone else.

I would strongly recommend removing clonecd and demontools and/or simialr porgram 1st, as I have seen a few post re i/o problem with no results other than changing the actual drive. failing that re-assign the drive letter and obviously all this tied up with up to date drivers..>Happy Easter All

They lied.

ImgBurn doesn't have any drivers and CloneCD's are fine.

Driver letters are purely cosmetic, the program doesn't use them so that wasn't the cause either. (p.s. don't use b:, it could cause issues for programs that consider a: and b: to be for floppy drives)

As I said in my first post, your issue looked driver related (because the real error code was going missing between the drive and my program). You updated the drivers and (hopefully) now you're sorted.
