lex415 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Hello all, this is my first post and I thank everyone in advance for reading and hopefully suggesting fixes. I recently read another post Disc Not Empty Pt. 1 and im having similar issues but I think the answer might be different. Im using a DVD+R DL [Memorex] disc to burn an .ISO file that's about 7.5 GBs. I also found this handy forum that helped me a little but not completely. It still reads "Disc Not Empty" and im not sure how to solve this. Any help would be great. lex415 Posted April 8, 2010 Author Posted April 8, 2010 LITE-ON DVDRW LH-18A1P GL0C (ATA) Update your burner's firmware and try again. I just updated it still nothing, also I got this: LITE-ON DVDRW LH-18A1P GL0J (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+R DL Disc Information: Status: Incomplete State of Last Session: Incomplete Erasable: No Sessions: 1 Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x DVD±R DL Boundary Information: L0 Data Zone Capacity: 2,086,912 Changeable: Yes Physical Format Information (Last Recorded - L0): Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Physical Format Information (Last Recorded - L1): Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66 Book Type: DVD+R DL Part Version: 1 Disc Size: 120mm Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified Number of Layers: 2 Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP) Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit Track Density: 0.74 um/track First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608 Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,607 Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,283,519 Performance (Write Speed): Descriptor 1... -> B0: 0x00, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 0 (0x00000000) -> RS: 6,648 KB/s (4.9x) - WS: 3,324 KB/s (2.4x) Descriptor 2... -> B0: 0x00, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 0 (0x00000000) -> RS: 6,648 KB/s (4.9x) - WS: 5,540 KB/s (4x) Descriptor 3... -> B0: 0x00, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 0 (0x00000000) -> RS: 6,648 KB/s (4.9x) - WS: 8,310 KB/s (6x) Descriptor 4... -> B0: 0x00, B1: 0x00, B2: 0x00, B3: 0x00 -> EL: 0 (0x00000000) -> RS: 6,648 KB/s (4.9x) - WS: 11,080 KB/s (8x) Whats weird is that before I updated, it started up normally which it has not been doing so far. Unfortunately it said something about calibration failing.
Cynthia Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Tried some other write speeds than the one you used? Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x

lex415 Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 Why not post a log from a burn? I thought that was the log after the burn. Oh well. Thans for trying to help!
Cynthia Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 The log is in the log window. The one you posted is the disc info.
