S/V/PHILE Posted May 15, 2006 Share Posted May 15, 2006 HELLO EVERYONE,YEAH,YEAH, I AM A NEWBEE LIKE EVERYONE HERE WAS AT ONE TIME. NOW ON TO THE TOPIC. IVE USED ANYDVD WITH NO PROBLEMS WITH DISC PLAYBACK ON OTHER MACHINES, BUT IT MADE MY CPU DO SOME CRAZY THINGS SO I DUMPED IT COMPLETELY, I MEAN WIPEING IT OFF MY HARD DRIVE COMPLETELY. THEN CAME DVD DECRYPTER,AND NOW IMGBURN. I HAVE TRIED MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF BLANKS AND THEY SEEM TO FREEZE UP AND OR PAUSE ON OTHER HOME UNITS. HOW CAN I ELIMINATE THIS. AS I HAVE SEEN THERE SOME REALLY BRIGHT PEOPLE ON THIS SITE,AND I WANT TO SOAK UP AS MUCH OF THIS KNOWLEGDE AS I CAN. AND WHEN I GET TO WHERE YOU ALL ARE , I CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THIS SITE AS MUCH AS I CAN. I AM A STEREOPHILE AND A VIDEOPHILE BUT I AM ONLY STANDING IN THE MIDDLE GROUND WITH COMPUTERS. It could be the discs, the burner or the equipment you're watching the discs on. It would help if you could post the log from one of your burns. With hardware being as cheap as it is these days I?d seriously consider buying a new drive that supports multiple formats. lfcrule1972 Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 There is still decent DVD+R media available, a lot has been tested here in the forum, see my signature for a link to the Drive/Media Test forum for information on different media..... As Shamus said with drives being so cheap these days you might just want to get a DVD?R burner and then you can burn to decent media in either format.
