ive recently been able to burn image files no problem at all, until recently when burning, it had stopped at 50% and in the scroll bar at the bottom it gave me something about SPTD drivers can be detremental or something.

i will post the starting list when imgburn boots up:

I 15:40:45 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started!

I 15:40:45 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3)

I 15:40:45 Total Physical Memory: 523,760 KB - Available: 166,164 KB

W 15:40:45 Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

I 15:40:45 Initialising SPTI...

I 15:40:45 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 15:40:47 -> Drive 1 - Info: LITE-ON LTR-52327S QS09 (F:) (ATA)

I 15:40:47 -> Drive 2 - Info: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-109 1.55 (E:) (ATA)

I 15:40:47 Found 1 CD-RW and 1 DVD±RW!

and now whenever i start to burn an image, it starts no problem but when it gets to 50% it just stops, but it hasnt frozen as the timer is still counting. its very odd and highly annoying as i dont know what is wrong with it, i have tried updating my pioneer dvd dvr-109 driver and there is no driver update. but i dont know why its having problems now as it was working fine before.

hope someone can clarify the problem for me and how to solve it.

thanks

The burn log would be more useful (look in ImgBurn's Help menu). As for the SPTD warning you can find out what it is using the Search feature.

By the way, there is newer firmware for your burner.

Read again what I posted and you'll notice where to get the log from previous burns and also where to get the latest firmware for your burner.

Try with Verbatim 2.4x blanks to see if they work better. If it doesn't work with them then we'll know the problem is the burner.
