Ok, i gave that disc to a friend....

So i don't know if it works so far...

but thing is, the Data was burned at MAX speed....

And looks like his FujiFilm DVD-R discs only accepts up to 8X write speed... (as printed on the disc itself)

what do you guys say, Disc will play just fine?

thx

I 18:56:02 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: TYG02) (Speeds: 4x; 6x; 8x; 12x)

'MAX' would just be 12x as that's the fastest speed your drive supports on them.

I see no problem here - but of course you can't really tell because you didn't Verify your burn.

Posted

ok i'll ask my friend today if i can....

but in general,

its better to write at a lower speed than your MAX one right?

Posted

8x and 12x aren't fast enough to cause an issue on SL discs, especially when we're talking about TYG02! (TYG02 are great discs)

(TYG02 are great discs)

well they are not genuine Tayo's...

they are FujiFilm DVD-R's,,,

Yeah but unless they're complete fakes, they're still TYG02... even if there weren't perhaps good enough (or whatever) to carry the 'Taiyo Yuden' brand name.
