mmalves Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Look for the latest drivers for your chipset and/or storage controllers (this website might help). Also try another SATA cable and other SATA ports. Also, when you're really going to burn, 8x or 12x might give you the best results
TirpitzLuminare Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 Thanks for the speedy reply. I need to first make sure I have this thing hooked up right, this is the first time I have ever used a Serial ATA connection. My motherboard has a Serial ATA, and a Serial ATA RAID connection, which one should I have the DVD burner hooked up to? I apologize if this is a stupid question. You mentioned updating my Storage Controllers and Chipset, I want to make sure I know which ones you are talking about. I am thinking my "Storage Controllers" must be: "Mass storage nVidia Corporation:CK804 IDE: nVidia Corporation:CK804 Serial ATA Controller: nVidia Corporation:CK804 Serial ATA Controller: Silicon Image, Inc.:SiI 3114 [sATALink/SATARaid] Serial ATA Controller:" Is this correct? and my Chipset is: "North bridge: NVIDIA nForce Pro 2200 South bridge: NVIDIA nForce Pro 2200 " Is this correct? Again I apologize, I am a moron when it comes to the inner workings of computers, I'm a program-type guy.... Please let me know if I am looking at the right drivers and which ATA slot my DVD burner needs to be in. Again thank you for the help.
TirpitzLuminare Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 Well the Drivers were all I needed, good to go now, thanks!
