I have NEC 7241S with the latest firmware 1.02 for my drive , i'm using Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL media...(ALWAYS) , the drive is new i only burned a few discs , some discs are very good , some not... PC is strong: E8500 @ 3.16 ghz(no OC) asus p5n32e sli plus nvidia 8800 ultra BeQuiet 500W win7 x64 ulti Here's logs(good one) http://pastebin.com/JhPBxP03 http://pastebin.com/Ufb2jTKE And here's come a bad one... http://pastebin.com/vvfYFdN2 http://pastebin.com/PqjSsv9K I tried any of this useless "tips" like: - better dvds quality(verbatim are the best)(i'm using ONLY verbatim and dvd is new) - disable IMAPI(in win7 it doesn't exist) - lower burning speed (well i was trying 1x but the lowest i can is 4x) - no viruses i'm using NIS2010... ANYONE can help me ?
mmalves Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Update ImgBurn and try burning at 6x or 8x. Also enable Verify or you'll never know if the burn was good or not.

Update can't help me and burning on lower speed should better how burning on higher can help me ? I do not need verify bcoz when it's says "failed" it's failed and my x360 drive can't read it. Cynthia Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 That burner should be able to burn those discs at all speeds without issues. You have the latest chipset drivers installed? http://www.ma-config.com/

I do not need verify bcoz when it's says "failed" it's failed and my x360 drive can't read it. We don't support old versions. That media is rated for 8x burning and newer burners are better tuned for faster burns since not everyone enjoys waiting 45 minutes to burn a disc. The Verify is what tells you that the data on the disc is the same as the source image, which is crucial for the game to work correctly; but you can leave it disabled if you don't care about the game freezing randomly and losing your progress.
