I have 3+ Burners to work from and i'm Not sure if any of them are Capable of changing the booktype to DVD-ROM So that I can copy my GM NavDisk for the Escalade.

Heres what I have in my first computer running windows 7 64 bit:

we also have a HP DVDRAM GT 20L ATA in my brothers laptop

and a TSST corp DVD+-RW TS-H653B SCSI

 

i have tried changing the booktype in imgburn on both of the dvd identified drives and all come up with errors.

Please help me Write this darn Disk so my dad can have GPS back in the caddy.

In theory, the two liteon drives should support it, maybe even the Samsung one.

 

It would all be automatic anyway so there's no need for you to go messing with anything.

 

Just burn the disc and check the booktype value as the verify operation starts or via the disc info box on the right of the main screen (look for the 'Physical Format Information (Last Recorded)' bit).

Both Booktype are Book Type: DVD+R DL

That means they havent changed right?

Use the LITE-ON tab of the Change Book Type dialog and you'll see if it does support booktyping DVD+R DL media or not.

 

By the way, the booktype on the disc is only changed when you burn it, hence why Physical Format Information (Last Recorded).

Yea it doesnt let me change it in the Lite-On tab it says invalid field in CDB

Thanks for the help, Right now im Burning the Disc at 1x. ill let you know how it goes.

Works Wonderfully. Second read said unable to read disc because its scratched or something but i think its just the reader.
