lfcrule1972 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Greed makes people stupid PM - we see it everywhere.......
Kenadjian Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 LFC took the words right out of my mouth, it's sad to see men like that go bad. But I wonder how any of us would react if a couple of million dollars were flashed under our nose?
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 But I wonder how any of us would react if a couple of million dollars were flashed under our nose? I know how I'd react - what's the catch? By the time the person offering me such a generous sum had finished with all the questions I'd need answering, the value of it would have depreciated by half. On a side note: my workplace (don't ask) routinely gets "baited" with sums of cash, phones, cameras etc by the security side of the business just to see if anyone takes it.
lfcrule1972 Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Just as well your security side hasn't made you the offer of a wombat and unlimited fresh celery - no man could be expected to turn that down !!!
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 It's true. No man can resist a freshly shampooed wombat.
lfcrule1972 Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Shampooed ??? Oh yeah - I like your style big fella......
Kenadjian Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 I know how I'd react - what's the catch? By the time the person offering me such a generous sum had finished with all the questions I'd need answering, the value of it would have depreciated by half. Just the same though, don't tell me you wouldn't be tempted to do something that wasn't quite legal, obviously the person that offers you that amount of money is not looking for you to shampoo his wombat, is he??
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 It?s eating a clothes peg......... which shows you how bright they are. Still, the one thing it has going for it is that it will never believe itself to be smarter than it is...... which places it alot higher in the gene pool than most of humanity. It makes decisions based on what it knows. Humanity, (a substantial part of it anyway), makes decisions based on what we?d like others to think we know. It might be eating a clothes peg (which proves that it isn?t that smart) but I smoke a pack a day. I know that it?s harmful yet I continue to do it. Which animal is smarter, I wonder. <philosophical mode off>
lfcrule1972 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I couldn't comment - altho his lovely furry coat is a positive gem !! You should be very proud Shamus.....
lfcrule1972 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 According to Shamus when viewed from behind they are quite attractive !!!
Shamus_McFartfinger Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 ?????????That's a freekin wombat????????? Yup. That?s a wombat. Ugly fooker, ain?t it? Their looks do improve a great deal depending on how you view them. On a kebab or in a stew they look fabulous. Wombat and celery stew. Mmm..... stew.
kevdriver Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 According to Shamus when viewed from behind they are quite attractive !!! I personally think its a lovely pet...........
spinningwheel Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Wombat and celery stew. Mmm..... stew How are they fried in a little OILy with garlic, onions, salt and fresh ground pepper?
lfcrule1972 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 That's right spinner - apparently you need to drip a little oil all over the surface of the wombat !!
Pain_Man Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 It's a good point, Ken. A co-worker of my wife has an acquaintance who's married to someone who in Vegas slang is sometimes called a "runner." He places cash bets at different casinos for rich people who, for whatever reason (they maybe in the Black Book, inclusion within which bars you for LIFE from setting foot in a NV casino) don't want to do it themselves. This dude lost $200,000+ in cash. He parked and went into a convenience store to get beer or whatever and when he came back, the money was gone. I thought to myself, if I saw a bag sitting on the ground and picked it up, with no one around to see me, opened it and found it had $200K in cash, what would I do? Keep every fucking cent!!! That's what. But that's completely different than taking bribes. That's just God making a donation to me (and He's in the major minus column with moi). And I wouldn't even lose sleep about it. (The next day I'd have one of those 500lb safes delivered to the house...) The Germans have a saying: Opportunity makes thieves." But again, gettin' lucky is entirely different than stealing or selling your friggin' vote. LFC took the words right out of my mouth, it's sad to see men like that go bad. But I wonder how any of us would react if a couple of million dollars were flashed under our nose?
Pain_Man Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 What if ya prefer sweaty, unwashed koalas? It's true. No man can resist a freshly shampooed wombat.
Pain_Man Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 THAT'S NO WOMBAT! It's a small moon." Seriously, how'd ya get a picture of my ex-mother-in-law on a goodday? Here is one Shamus "shampooed" earlier.....
Pain_Man Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I don't know. At he's not shoving clothes pins (?) up his ass. That would put him above the intellectual level of most of the naked, bipedal apes on this planet. It?s eating a clothes peg......... which shows you how bright they are. Still, the one thing it has going for it is that it will never believe itself to be smarter than it is...... which places it alot higher in the gene pool than most of humanity.
