Device Not Ready(Medium Not Present)

I'm trying to burn a movie but I can't cause it tells me that device is not ready, I know that a lot of people have this problem and I'm sorry if this is old but can I get some assistance. Is my driver to old? Do I need to upgrade? Any suggestions/help is welcomed.

What exactly does it say? It's always Device Not Ready (Reason). Try this firmware update too.

It says Medium Not Present.

also I couldn't update the firmware.
