slike Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'm experiencing a high failure rate using the latest version of dvdflick. The problem always occurs at the finalize stage when imgburn comes up. Most common failure message - failed to set write parameters. What makes this odd is that the burn was successful three times, which indicates to me I'm using the correct media and my drive is compatible. The settings were exactly the same for the three successes and the twenty failures. Should I just give up?
ianymaty Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 DVDFlick comes with its own ImgBurn and it is an old version. Set the target in DVDFlick settings to DVD Folder not to Drive. Burn the result with the newest ImgBurn 2.5.1.0 If the problem persist come back with a log of that burn.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 That's a VERY odd message to get at the *end* of a burn. In fact, I don't think it's even possible! Do what he said ^ and post a log.
ianymaty Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 OP said it comes at the final stage of DVDFlick when calling ImgBurn to do the burn.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Oops, my bad. I saw the 'finalize' bit and though he/she was talking about that stage of the burn.

I did what you suggested. Downloaded newest version of imgburn and used the option in dvdflick of create iso image but when I tried to burn the iso file I again experienced failure. Because the failures all seemed to involve write speed, I tried different speeds as you can see in the attached logs.

Cynthia Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Should be able to find the latest drivers here http://www.ma-config.com/
slike Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 I was using dvdflick to burn video files to dvd, having some successes but mostly failures. I was told to just use dvdflick to create the file and then use the latest version of imgburn to do the burn. So I created an iso image file but had no success burning it. I used my vista snipping tool to send along the log info. Could someone tell me the conventional way to send the log? Is it a text file and where do I find it?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Just copy + paste the text from the log window! You've still got the same DMA related errors you've always had - you didn't need to make a new thread. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14518 EDIT: Consider them 'merged'.
Cynthia Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Logs a: In the log window in the front of you b: Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
