burn speed miscompare

when I try to burn at 2x it burns at 4x

I have tried to research this on my own with no luck

I have ready people trying to burn at 1x and getting 2.4x because this is the min allowed by the disk

may this be my disks have a min of 4x?

im using memorex dvd+rdl 8x

My log gives an sptd error but from what I have read this may cause your drive to burn slowly

just noticed that

so i take it the dvd dl cant do 2x.....does not list the 8x?

Only 4x and 6x possible.

 

The warning about SPTD only affects slow verify speeds.

I have been using the same brand dvd's from the same store for the past 50 backups

never had a bad one until now never had the speed mismatch problem until now

Maybe the brand you buy has changed dyes - and they're now using 'RITEK-S04-66'.

now about 1 in 4 burns dont work

maybe buy a diffrent brand? anyone know of a good brand for slow writing?

Bought a new dvd burner

No more write speed miscompares

same pack of dvd's

 

Strange because I have used that dvd burner alot without problem.
