Failed to read sector

Hello everyone. new here.

 

I seem to be getting a lot of errors. I tried changing my write speed 3 times now. tried 4x first then 24x and 40x with no success, same error. I thought it might be the media but I've never had a problem with them before (I'm on the last 10 of a 100 spindle). I did just update my Imgburn and this was the first burn I tried with the new version. The read failure in all three attempts were always from the same sector (35, 145, ...)

Unfortunately I still get the same errors with it being unable to verify almost identical sectors as my first 3 attempts.

If you have any other suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, you're just burning a basic ISO so that's not going to be the cause of the errors.

 

You should at least give some different media a go. Personally, I always use Taiyo Yuden CDs as I've found them to be the best.

 

After that, if it still doesn't work, you could try a cleaning disc in the drive.

 

...and after that I give up!

I see, thanks for the info, saved me from having to redownload it. Well I tried 3 CD media now. I don't know who the manufacturers were but the brands were Imation and Supra as well as the one you see in the log. they all failed. This was the first time I had an ISO which fills the CD to the rim (to the point that I cannot tell if the CD is blank or not by just looking at it) so I have a feeling that these media are not reliable at the edges or my burner is not reliable at filling them because I've never had a problem until now. The next media I tried was a DVD instead and that worked fine. I'll be sure to make my next spindle Taiyo Yuden.
