Lightguy Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I'm not having any problems burning disks, but I'm having problems actually making the copy (.ISO I guess) of the original to then burn onto the new disk. I didn't have any problems with the first 10 to 20 things I copied, but now it seems like 2 out of every 3 disks I try to "read" gets a "failed to read sector" error before it ever makes a complete copy. It could be bad sectors on the disk, but it's happening ALOT, and on all types of disks- commercially pressed, home burned, professionally burned. Am I doing something wrong? The disks all seem to play OK in the dvd player. IF nothing else, is there any way around this? Thanks for the help. I 23:03:52 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 The only thing you can really do is try reading them in a different drive. If a lot of your discs are now unreadable then it's probably due to the drive that you're using to read them (try cleaning it with a cleaning disc) or it's due to the discs themselves (don't use that same dye ' MBIPG101-R04-01' again! Start using Verbatim (non 'Value') or Taiyo Yuden instead).
