Cynthia Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 The jumper on the back of the drive (slave/master/cd) is set correctly?
steelie1976 Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 The jumper on the back of the drive (slave/master/cd) is set correctly? Only one burner in system till i get this figured out. It Is Set to Master and set up through sata
Cynthia Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Not sure I understand you. If it's sata there's no jumper to change.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 What you've got there is a 'Logical Unit Communication' issue. See here - http://www.t10.org/lists/asc-num.htm#ASC_08 Only your exact code (ASC 0x08, ASCQ 0x08) doesn't exist in the list. So you should try a new cable, making sure it's as short as possible. Then go hunting for the latest drivers for your chipset/controller at NVidia's site. You could also try removing the controller in device manager - the recommended fix for dealing with DMA issues - see the FAQ. Do you have the latest bios installed for your motherboard?

Just checked drivers and all good there. Going to get shorter cable and see if thats it. And yes it is a sata connection so there is no set to master sorry for the confusion.Post back later
