GranPaSmurf Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I need to burn a bootable disk of a .iso file. I don't do disk burning very often, so everything is new, step by step for me. I am following this file.Forum Link I tried a couple of CD-R disks, but after the burn, the disks were empty. The CDs are old, so I figured they were bad. For the last try, I used a DVD-R. Same result. The ImgBurn interface says it burned. I am attaching the log. Thanks in advance. DonaldImgBurn18May10.log
mmalves Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 All the burns in that log seem to be successful. Have you rebooted your computer after burning those discs? Sometimes Windows gets stuck detecting a disc.

Sometimes Windows gets stuck detecting a disc. Well, log another slap-head-moment for GranPaSmurf! I even retrieved one from the trash that was burned. Thanks for your prompt & on-target response. Now I have to move on the next problem, the bootable disks wont. Computer says "boot from CD" with a __ cursor, but no further. dk
