Dual layer copy disc

Please excuse me if this has been asked before. I have read the how-to on burning a dual layer disc from video files.

 

But is there a guide on simply copying dual layer discs?

 

I have tried this. I read in a dual layer using an older program, to create an iso and mds file. This one large file I then tried burning to a dual layer disc as I have done normal discs before. It began and stopped halfway.

 

Both times that failed - is that the medium failing (was Infiniti - should I use Verbatim) or something to do with dual layer procedure?

 

Do I have to do something extra? ie extract the video file etc and then go through the sequence set out by cornholio7 on the how to pages for burning a dual layer video?

 

I also would like to do a copy of a dual layer data disc.
