Every time I try to burn a dual layer disk it freezes or I get an error message at 50% - I've tried formatting my hard drive, buying a new dual layer drive, different disks, nothing seems to work! Can someone please help. Most of the time when the writing process gets to 50% it just stops. According to ImgBurn its still writing but it just stays at 50% and says the time remaining is unknown. Sometimes though I get an error message at the exact same percentage. I I've posted an image of the error I get. I used to be able to burn disks with no problems, when this first started happening I binned my old writer & bought a new one, but I'm now guessing that wasn't even the problem!

The program's log has more useful information that we need, so please post it.

Unfortunately I forgot to save the log on that occasion, and every other time I do it, it gets to 50% and then just does nothing. for example at the moment I have one attempting to copy but it's been sitting at 50% doing nothing for the past 15mins. I'll post a pic & the log from that below.

Look for the latest drivers for your system's chipset/storage controllers (this website might help). Next time try burning at 6x or 8x. You should also read this -> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

I checkout out that website, got a few updates, tried burning it at 6x and this time it didn't freeze at 50% but I got the same error at 50% - i managed to copy the log this time though, does this add any insight?? (P.S. I'm using verbatim disks)

I've never seen Verbatim DVD+R DL media that doesn't use MKM dye. That power calibration error means your burner doesn't like those discs, so you'll have to try other brands until you find something that works.

Sorry your right it was an Infiniti 360 disk I used that time. I've got them in the same spindal. I will try other media then, I tried burning with Ashampoo Burning Studio there & the program crashed at 50% as well. Thanks for taking the time to try & help.
