ningel Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) I have read the faqs about slow speed, but i think that goes to ide drive. i have a samsung external usb writter modelse-s084b/rsbn. The thing is that inicially it worked ok, even on dvd-dl. but now speed gets only at 1.8x for reading or writting... i use verbatim dvd+r dl, and sony dvd-r. what can i do to fix this problem? i also get the SPTD warning msg at the start, can that cause any conflict?... P.d: i dont have the log right now. ill post it ASAP... Edited May 25, 2010 by ningel

dontasciime Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Disable/ remove duplex secure SPTD Update firmware http://www.samsungodd.com/korLib/popup/Download.asp?path=FWDownload&fname=SE-S084B_TS01.exe use better discs. You could do with a little extra memory. like 3gig :lol

ningel Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Same if you read with the other drive? Update both drives firmware to latest Reader and Writer Also update Windows to SP3 i didn´t do anything that you told me, but for other reasons i had to format my computer and now the writte speed went back to normal, and the sptd warnig appears too. my question is :are there any other programs that may interfere with it?(I.E:I use DEKAZETA(we/pes editor program, it has an iso building apliccation) Edited May 28, 2010 by ningel
ianymaty Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Basicaly any program that is able to use or have acces to optical drive can interfere. SPTD is from Duplex Secure, a driver that is installed from various CD/DVD emulators like Daemon Tools Here are some info if you want to disable or remove SPTD.
