I got a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH41N with firmware MN01.

 

How do I change the DVD+R book type in this device ?

 

Do I maybe have to get a patched firmware to do it,

if it so, where can I get it ?

That's a LG burner, so use the LG tab of the Change Book Type dialog (right-click on the burner's name) to test if it supports booktyping or not. If it does support booktyping then ImgBurn takes care of the rest, i.e. it'll automatically booktype for you.

Your burner doesn't support booktyping then, which isn't uncommon for OEM burners like that.
