ckoy Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Hi, I have Nec Optiarc AD-7530B (f/w NX09-c) drive, running Windows 7 & ImgBurn 2.5.1.0 There's no problem with burning dvd-r, dvd-rw and cd-rw media. But burning cd-r results in unmountable scrap (ImgBurn reports/logs no error during burning). I tried 2 different brands of cd-r, the same. Any idea what could be the problem?
ckoy Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Post the logs from those burns. Following is the log of last burn. When I insert it, the player spends long time to start playing and if it ever does, the first ~2 mins of playback is not continuous (intermittent pauses), then playback is smooth. ; //****************************************\\ ; ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 - Log ; Monday, 31 May 2010, 00:46:24 ; \\****************************************// ; ; I 00:21:47 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! ckoy Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 Well, I just noticed both cd-r brands I used were Plasmon. (cd-rw is Infodisc, dvd-r is MCC and dvd-rw is MBI)
eSkRo Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 do you have FFDSHOW installed? or any Codec Pack installed?
ckoy Posted May 30, 2010 Author Posted May 30, 2010 do you have FFDSHOW installed? or any Codec Pack installed? No, I use MPlayer for Windows (from command line) and avoid all such stuff (only Koepi's Xvid is installed). Recently I installed Xiph.org's directshow filters for flac, but the problem was also present before that (while burning mp3 files).
mmalves Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Have you tried burning at 10x or 16x? You could do with better quality media too like Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs.
