jctl Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I've been having a persistent problem burning DVD+R DL discs, and when I've searched this and other forums for advice, the only suggestions I've found are to update my drive's firmware and use better DVD media. Unfortunately, there isn't a firmware upgrade available for my drive, and I'm already using the recommended media. I was really hoping that someone might be able to help -- thanks to all. The errors I get are always write errors, but are not always in the same place -- I've pasted two examples of logs I've gotten below. I 16:39:29 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! Cynthia Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 SlimLine drives can be tricky to burn DL with. If it fails burning the best media on the market, I would go for an external attached normal height burner. Perhaps give it a try with a cleaning disc.
