mmalves Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Install the latest JMicron driver and try again. If it doesn't work then you'll need to set your JMicron controller to IDE mode in the BIOS. While you're at it you might also want to install this (reboot if asked) and this (also reboot if asked).
Vincs Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) Install the latest JMicron driver and try again. If it doesn't work then you'll need to set your JMicron controller to IDE mode in the BIOS. While you're at it you might also want to install this (reboot if asked) and this (also reboot if asked). I think I already have the last version of it But I will try tonight anyway. Thanks for your help EDIT : I'm currently trying. But when I go on the touslesdrivers.com website, with the autodetection it detects an older driver : JMicron Technology Corp. Vincs Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) I've done everythings you said but it didn't work The speed still goes down to 0.0x then nothing happens. If I push on the eject button or try anything else relating to the disk, nothing happens or the software freeze. Did you know another software like imgburn to try it to see if it comes from my computer of from the software ? Edited June 2, 2010 by Vincs

Vincs Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Buy yourself an SATA burner. I think that's what I should do... Any suggestions ? A good one with blu-ray reader (burner ?) ?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 If you want blu-ray then I guess it's got to be a Pioneer 205 or the latest LG. They might only have the 10x models out at the moment... 12x ones should be out very soon.

What about this one : http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00099561.html
Vincs Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 I've bought it and I'm burning a DVD-DL right now, it seems to work but the device buffer stay on 0%... Is it right ?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Make sure you've got the latest chipset and sata controller drivers installed. The ones you've got installed now might be blocking that info.
Vincs Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 One driver seems to be outdated but when I install the driver with installer, the version is dated of 2006. When I try to update it manually it takes a version of 2010 but when I restart the computer, the version of 2006 reappear.
ianymaty Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 As listed on site, the latest Chipset and SATA drivers are from 2009 not 2010. Also verify if you have the latest BIOS 1408 version as beginning with version 1307 are listed some fixes for J-Micron SATA/PATA Controller. Be sure you run the updates from an Admin account.
Vincs Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 It's done, now I started my computer and the version seems to be up to date. I will see during my next burning, I keep you in touch
Vincs Posted June 11, 2010 Author Posted June 11, 2010 I've burned a dvd-dl yesterday, my driver is up to date, and the device buffer was still on 0%. It doesn’t bother me, until my dvd are correctly burned. But I wanted to notice it. Thanks for your help !
