peterhuh Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Hi! I'm transfering my old collection of DVDs and CDs to my newly assembled NAS. Quite a few of them have consecutive errors near the end of the disc. I'm wondering if there is an option to skip errors faster. Eg, instead of retrying every read errors several times, skip several sectors at a time when consecutive errors are detected. Thanks in advance!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 You can't skip chunks at a time, no. You can reduce the number of retries the software / drive performs though - just look on the 'Read' tab in the settings. If you're running into sector issues but want as much of the disc as possible, try IsoPuzzle.
