Udy Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I have the issue described in http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=14387&st=20 Since I can't post to that thread, I want to add my drive to the list here. I have a Plextor PX800a. But the issue has only been displayed with the latest ImgBurn (2.5.1.0). Clau
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Can you post the disc info please? My 7240 didn't show the problem so I wouldn't have expected the 7173 to either (your PX800A is basically an Optiarc 7173). The other thread explains why you're only noticing this firmware bug in 2.5.1.0

I have, however, forwarded the information presented to our research and development department. If the issue can be confirmed it is possible that it may be corrected at a later date. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You're doing a great job with ImgBurn! :-) Clau Edited June 3, 2010 by Udy
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 That just looks like a bad burn. You're missing the disc capacity info at the top. The TOC info looks incorrect based on the last recorded physical format info. Track info is totally wrong/missing. Burn another one at 8x. Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. Try using some Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs instead.
Udy Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 That just looks like a bad burn. You're missing the disc capacity info at the top. The TOC info looks incorrect based on the last recorded physical format info. Track info is totally wrong/missing. Bad or not, I could copy its content to the HDD. I'm not sure what to think about it. Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc. Is the cleaning safe? I read something about that not being recommended. Try using some Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden discs instead. +R or -R ? Thanks, Clau
Udy Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Burn another one at 8x. Now about the speed... I used 4x yesterday. How's that compared to 8x? Thanks, Clau
