Audio CD does not play

I followed the directions from the Guides Support area to create an Audio CD from mp3s.

I did not get any errors, however the CD will not play in my car. Are there any configurations that I should look at?

Does your car's cd player work ok with cd-r/cd-rw ?

I do have a maxell CD-R 80 minute disc that my car does play, I have not tried CD-RW yet.

 

The log shows Ritek, but it is a TDK CD-R 80, are they the same?

Verify your burns, don't burn at max speed - use something like 24x.

 

'TDK' is a brand name, their discs use a dye from Ritek and that's the important bit. (Ritek isn't very good)

 

If you want decent burns, buy Taiyo Yuden CDs.

 

Update the firmware on your drive to 4L18
