Cris Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I have searched forum, guides, checked setting options and I am not able to figure out this one out: I know selecting a layer break is important, but I am wondering if it is possible to avoid the prompt (and break in the execution of the program). On one hand, my DVD player is extremely fast at switching layers, I never notice any layer changes. On the other hand, I would prefer for the program to continue execution without my intervention as I am not always available and standing by the computer. Thanks and best wishes to all. Cris
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 You're obviously there when you click the 'Go' button so why can't you be around 5 seconds later?!
Cris Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 You're obviously there when you click the 'Go' button so why can't you be around 5 seconds later?! Good question! I am using ImgBurn as the DVD (or BD) burning program in connection with another program that does rendering. Rendering can take several hours, after which burning starts. As it is right now, all works smoothly (without need for operator input), except for the "layer break" prompt. It would be nice if ImgBurn could have an option for making the layer decision without operator input. ImgBurn could chose the "best option" on its own, or if no "best option" available, chose one of the several presented options. I do that anyway when I have to chose, so I'm sure the program could do it, too. I would like to make this a "feature request". Would the developer see this post, or what is the procedure for submitting a "feature request"? Thanks and best wishes, Cris
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I'm the author Others have made the same request in the past but it's just not something I want to make the program's responsibility. It's impossible (at this level anyway) to know the 'best' option without actually looking at the video.
Cris Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 Thanks, LIGHTNING UK! If you can keep in mind this item for future releases, just as an option (for those of us willing to "take a chance"), it would be nice. I must congratulate you on an outstanding product! I'm still learning the program (discovered it less than 1 week ago). I will express my gratitude and support future development by clicking the "donate" button. Thanks and best wishes, Cris
