Cynthia Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 There is a 1.77 version of the firmware. Now you have 1.75. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/BC-5500S/files.html

Cynthia Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I 21:04:17 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: CMC MAG-D03-64) (Speeds: 2,4x; 4x) Verbatim? There is a "label" sold under Verbatim that contains CMC discs. It's the Life Series line. A better name would perhaps be "The Death Series line". http://club.myce.com/f33/death-verbatim-311104/ So far it seems these discs are mainly sold in the US. The Advanced AZO label packages are the ones that holds the MCC media.
Aikem Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 So is that an hardware problem or a blank disc's wrong choose?
spinningwheel Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Blank disc problem, CMC is junk no matter whose name it is rebadged to.
mmalves Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 Slim burners are rubbish at best so your only chance of good burns is by using the good stuff
