Released: 2009-05-20

Version: ZHCH

PLDS DH-16A6L-C firmware update improves support for recognizing dual layer media.

Normally it only takes some seconds to have the disc ejected and loaded. So five minutes sounds not right.

Disc ID: MBIPG101-R10-65

Not the most common media type, so it could be that the burner couldn't read the disc it just burned. :(

I cant do the firmware update because i upgraded to Windows 7 is there any other way of geting round this?

Shouldn't be an issue to run a firmware update under Windows 7.

But you don't need to do it as you already have the latest version.
