Is it OK to uncheck "verify"

I've been using ImageBurn for a long time with complete success but I have always had the "verify" box checked and the verifying usually takes longer than the actual burn.

As I've never had a bad burn is it OK to uncheck the "verify" box to speed things up ?

For safety leave it enabled. When you are in hurry and what you burn don't matter much, you can uncheck it.

If it wasn't important then it wouldn't be enabled by default, would it? And it should be faster than the burn part.
