Bettina Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Hi I have used ImgBurn for a time now. But for a time now I`m having this kind of error (I only use to burn DVD) - "Failed to Write Sectors [insert Sectors] - Reason: Logical Unit Communication CRC Error (ULTRA-DMA/32)". And then it bricks my computer, and I have to hard restart it. I have read this thread - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=7401 And then I've read the FAQ, under for DMA - http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=59 But haven't yet done the things on the FAQ, because I have a question: My OS is Windows 7, but I have two OS on my computer, but each on an harddrive, the other is a Windows XP. My doubt is if I do this DMA check, if it changes something on the other OS (Only use the ImgBurn on windows 7). Thank you in advance, and congratz for such a great program.

Bettina Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) Why can´t I reply to my own thread?? Well... I had the ImgBurn version 2.5.0.0, and then updated it to the 2.5.1.0, and then the errors began. Yesterday, I did a downgrade to the 2.5.0.0, and it still made the same error. Crazy, isn´t?? Well, thx in advance. Cynthia When you see that list, press the green button named 'Download drivers compatible with this configuration' and you'll see what drivers you can update Ok, but there is some that are RED, others BLUE and then GREEN (for download). The RED one doesn´t have anything to click on. And how do I know wich one is for the DMA problem?? Thx again. Edited July 4, 2010 by Bettina

Cynthia Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Look for the green ones that have something new. "Intel rows" should apply to your issue. Then you should end up with a download page. http://www.ma-config.com/en/tutorial/13-6,How-to-use-this-web-site.html
