Uncorrectable Error

I was trying to make an image of a game that was given to me by a buddy. I keep getting the error "L-EC Uncorrectable Error" and the progress hasn't gone any further. What do I do?

If that's the original disc then it's probably copy protection, and ImgBurn can't read protected discs.
