Disc burning error

Hi, i'm trying to burn an xbox360 image, using the .dvd file, I'm using Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL but it hasn't worked.

Have you tried burning at 6x or 8x? Tried a lens cleaning disc on that burner? Where did you get that firmware version?

 

On another note, you could try verifying that disc with another drive.

It's the first time I've tried it. It's also a drive I inherited from my mother in law with her case, so don't know much about it. I presume its the latest firmware as win7 only 'installed' it a couple if days ago

 

Don't want to try too many times, the discs are expensive! Do you think 6x or 8x would be best?

Burning at 6x or 8x and using the lens cleaning disc is pretty much all you can do to make it work, short of buying a new burner.

 

Ok, thanks. Ive got an old burner that i might try with it, was just easier to leave this one in the case when i changed it!!

 

E-buyer have one for £12 delivered so i might just buy a new one :)
