gemad9 Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Not sure what's causing this on a 50GB BD-RE DL. Repeating the process brings the same error but usually at slightly different sectors. Tried cleaning the drive. This log is typical: Thanks in advance for any help. gemad9 I 18:27:47 ImgBurn Version 2.5.1.0 started! gemad9 Posted July 17, 2010 Author Posted July 17, 2010 Tried with another RE disc? Yes. Actually I've tried with 3 50GB RE disks (Sony) and 3 25GB RE disks (Verbatim). Two out of three Verbatims were successful with one producing the same kind of error. For the Sony 50GB disks, One succeeded and two showed the same kind of error that you see in the above log. The unreadable sector ID is always in a slightly different place. I also tried backing up commercial Blu-Ray DVDs (movies) from ripped files and from ripped ISOs using Imgburn with these disks. The disks showing the read error produces a stop in the movie in a stand-alone and a computer player for about a minute or so and then it continues. The disks that pass the DISCOVERY/verify test have no stops during the movie playback (as one would expect). Thanks for your help and very fast response. gemad9
