Hi, I'm a new user of ImgBurn.

While trying to make a Vista Recovery Disc, I followed the guidelines to start the burning the file. But it stopped at "setting write speed..." and never goes on again.

The ImgBurn Log is as followed --

12:09:35 Source File Implementation Identifier: Microsoft IMAPI v 1.0

-------- Source File File System(s): ISO9660(Bootable),Joliet, UDF (1.02)

Destination Device:[1:0:0]QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-241 VX08(D:)(ATA)

Destination Media Type:CD-R(Disc ID:97m17s06f, Moser Baer India)(Speeds:8x)

Destination Media Sectors: 359,847

Write Mode: CD

Write Type: SAO

Write Speed: MAX

Lock Volume: Yes

Test Mode: No

OPC: No

BURN-Proof: Enabled

Also, the ISO file I downlowed looks like a WinRAR file (a logo of piled books), and I thought the normal ISO files should have the logo of a disc or something. Does this have anything with the file itself?

Please help. Thanks.

Your drive/system must have an issue processing one of the commands used to the set the speed. Without seeing an 'I/O Debug Mode' enabled log file, I can't tell you exactly which one it's having trouble processing, nor can I do anything about it.

The ISO's icon is just due to the file associations on your PC.

Go into the WinRAR settings and untick the 'ISO' box.
