dvd works fine on pc, missing parts on TV

Hi all

 

First time i've made a DVD, and the problem im getting is, is that the DVD plays fine on my PC, but when i put it on the DVD player, it works, but it appears that some of the movie is missing, like the edges. its especially noticeable when the credits come up and the text is chopped up.

 

isit something called Overscanning?
