Hello

i've tryed burning some bds with my brand new LiteOn iHBS112 and here the problems i'm still having:

- using TDK bd-r dl 4x the disks arent played by my bp samsung 1500 (even with latest firmware). So i've tryed burning the same stuff with the same media but with Nero and the disk is perfect with my bp samsung 1500!

- Got the same problem when using bd from Infiniti (bd-r 25gb). The disk isnt playable by my samsung bp 1500,but if i burn the same stuff but with my Sony bd-re its all ok with samsung 1500

I tought these could be related to the cheap price of the Infiniti bds. So i brought Verbatim BD-R LTH but when im trying to use them,i've got these error into imgburn and the burning interrupts after few minutes from the beginning and the disk is wasted:

It all comes down to the burner/firmware/media combination. If I'm not mistaken you can contact Verbatim and return/exchange their BD-Rs as defective.

thanks mmalves

didnt know about the problems with Verbatim Bdr lth. I've contacted Verbatim and hope to hear them back.

Shame that Liteon didnt replay and still no fix these problem.

Now the only question is about those TDK disks

just quick update: i've been recontacted by Verbatim. They confirmed me that the problem is only related to the firmware of Liteon.

Now if they only managed to put out these upgraded firmware >_<

Still the TDKs burnt with imgburn arent played by my bp samsung while with Nero dont have any problems and these seems really strange to me

I know nothing about building a BD, but there is an error line the process.

here we go , replay from Liteon:

Sorry to tell you that the FW - CL04 does not support BD-R LTH media.

And the new firmware which supports BD-R LTH media is not available now.

We have just confirmed with our relevant department, they`re planning to put

it onto our website.

Once it is available,we will let you know.Thank you for your patience in

advance.

ehy at least they're planning
