zero7404 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 in Drive->Regional Codes they aren't listed by number. which one is PAL ? in specific: Europe ...
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Doesn't work like that. The video signal can't be changed in ImgBurn, only the region the drive will be attached to.
zero7404 Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 Doesn't work like that. The video signal can't be changed in ImgBurn, only the region the drive will be attached to. so if the region code is changed, a PAL disc cannot be played on a laptop sold in the US ?
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 In theory, if the European disc is coded for region 2 and is used in a laptop that has the region on the drive set to 1, no it will not play. In practice, (with the help of Google) no. The real issue is often that stand alone players sold in the US only can play NTSC video. A software player on a laptop should be able to play both systems.
zero7404 Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 i have a laptop i am going to sell in a country with PAL, so before i make the sale, which region should i select in imgburn, west europe or east ? the country is Greece. they use PAL.
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 You can change the value five times (on some drives even more times). If you just use the drive for burning purpose, don't change it at all.
zero7404 Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 so, i take it you don't know what the correct region is ?
Cynthia Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Greece is region 2. http://www.hometheaterinfo.com/dvd3.htm
