LongTimeAuthor Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 As far as I am concerned 'Image Burn' is simply the best optical media writer out there. Nothing else even comes close. But there is one thing that really (REALLY) bugs me. When I tell Image Burn to abort a burn (press the big red stop button) it takes forever to stop. And if I press it again I just get a message telling me it 'heard me the first time'. IF IT HEARD ME, WHY ISN'T IT TAKING ANY NOTICE????? When I hit the stop button, I want the program to stop. Straight away. To be honest, knowing how long Image Burn takes to stop, if I want to abort I usually just shut down the computer, take the disk out using the paper clip method, then restart. This (even with the reboot) is faster than waiting for Image Burn to get its act together. Please (please, pretty please) get Image Burn to stop immediately the Stop button is pressed. I guess you will have to have a dialog box come up and say "Are you sure you want to stop burning your disk", but when I press OK on that dialog box then please again, just stop burning and eject the disk. IMMEDIATELY (OK, 2 - 3 seconds of delay is reasonable to let the disk slow down, but no more, please, please, please.) Rant over.
Cynthia Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 The program sends the cancel commands to the drive, so blame the drive for being so slow to understand what it should do.
