dupt Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 (edited) Well...I recorded an episode of a tv show today and i used Timer Rec using my dvd recorder it records automatically, the problem is that i have to turn off the power in order to record.. So..i tried to finalized on my computer. I went to several websites and i found this technique Tools -> Drive -> Close Track / Session / Disc I did it. Now, ImgBurn and other programs just recognize a file (130mbs) and other insignificate stuff.. All i want is the 4.0 gigabites file!!!! i shouldn't have done the close thing In My Computer it says that the DVd has 4 gigabytes and nothings there but when i use a ripper it only recognizes the 130mbs file -.- help!!? can i redo this? See? the file is still there If i choose #2 Track it says that cannot read CD Track Information Edited August 4, 2010 by dupt
mmalves Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Try using IsoBuster to extract the file you want.
dupt Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 Try using IsoBuster to extract the file you want. why evryone says isobuster? i tried that, no success. i closed the cd and i want to unclose it
mmalves Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 If IsoBuster can't extract the file(s) you want then you're out of options.
dupt Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 i dont think so, theres always an option. and there are programs that unclose dvds. any ideas?
mmalves Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 There's no such thing as "unclose" a disc, it simply can't be done. Have you tried using UltraISO/PowerISO/MagicISO/etc to try reading from that disc?

spinningwheel Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 This is really not an ImgBurn problem. Google what you want to do, most programs that claim to unclose discs are rescue programs that cost you to buy before you try. spinner

ianymaty Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 As I understand it is a DVD-VR you could try Ulead Video Studio to import the section you want from a DVD-VR. I know I did it in the past from a camcorder miniDVD.

ianymaty Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Yeah, -RW recorded in a DVD recorder, so it has DVD-VR files on it. DVD-VR comes from DVD Video Recording. Here's more detailed explanation of the format http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD-VR
