akmiecik Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I am trying to create a bootable ISO image of my newly installed Windows Server 2008 system. I installed ImgBurn, put C: in the source, defined D:\BackupofC.iso and let it rip. Looks like it is creating the ISO (which I intend to make bootable using MagicISO). Of course ImgBurn can't copy ALL files because some are "being used" so, here's the question: Do ALL files need to be captured? What can be done about those "in use" files? Is this the best way to do this? Thanks.
mmalves Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 If you want to just back up your Windows installation you should be using a proper backup tool like Acronis TrueImage or similar, as they can make bootable restore discs. Now if you want to make a Live CD from your Windows then you should ask Google.
