Using Verbatim DVD+R Can't Burn Successfully

Hey all!

 

I have recently purchased some VERBATIM DVD+R so I can back up my 60+GIGs of 320kbps MP3s.

 

Unfortunately... I keep getting errors when verifying and even some unsuccessful burns.

 

I'm even beginning to think that even though this computer is basically brand new,

 

the DVD drive is probably crap. It is a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH40N on an ASUS motherboard.

Try burning at 8x or 12x.

It does not matter which burning speed.. I've tried, virtually, all of them, and I get the same result ]=

Then you should start looking for a new SATA burner (Optiarc AD-7240S highly recommended).

So even though this computer is only a few months old, are you thinking that they installed a bad burner?

If it can't burn the best media on the market then it's useless in my opinion.
