Hey,

the machine im using is a hella-old dell dimension 2400.

It has a 2400a nec dvd-rw drive which I've already updated to the latest drivers.

Im trying to write an OS to a disk but i'm having some trouble, when formatting the disk the percentage goes up then crashes back down to 0% and stays at 0. Then I end the process and the disk shows as blank (not sure if it is though?). I then tried writing it and it worked to 100% but froze when syncing the cache or something at around 50%.

I've tried both the method for an OS in the guide and just writing the ISO.

Neither appears to work 100% as when I boot from the disk it just thinks for abit then boots from the HDD.

Anyone know what the problem might be?
